🦮 Ford C Max Parking Sensor Module Location
There are two parts to these sensors, the actual sensor and the housing. You'll need access to the back of the sensor where you have to open the housing clips that hold the sensor in place. The sensor then comes out into the back of the bumper. The housing can then be pulled out. It's hard to explain and I cant find a decent YouTube video, but
Hemi 5.7. The Parking Sensor Module (Parktronics) is located to the left of the emergency brake, below the connectors for the drivers door accordion harness. You just need to pull the trim to the left of the emergency brake that goes across the drivers door rocker panel, then there are 3 nuts that hold the emergency brake on.

I removed the Parking Assist Module, released the catches on the outer housing and quickly inspected the circuit board, nothing obviously broken.
The PDC sound is produced by a small speaker that is connected directly to the PAM (Parking Assistance Module). There are no (configuration) settings that affect the volume. The only way to increase the PDC volume is by installing an adjustable amplifier between the PAM and the small speaker. 1. Quote.

Where is the rear parking sensor module located on my 2013 Explorer Sport ? I have to convert the electrical connector of the tow hook from 7-pin "US" to 13-Pin "EU/European Union" configuration .. The conversion kit I have says to cut the ground wire of the rear parking module.
On my 2006 and 2011 F350s, I replaced them while under warranty a few times. Once the warranty was over and they died again, I just left them dead. Every once and awhile they'll let out a pathetic chirp when I shift into reverse. My 2011 has a rear camera, which is better than the sensors. Otherwise, the mirrors work just fine.

I have done everything except check the Parking Assist Module. My maintainance DVD tells me that it is located behind the glove box. I cannot find it in there anywhere. Does anyone know where it is located. The trucks manufacture date is June 2006. Any help would be appreciated. You'll get more replies.
AUTOSPARK. Maybe one of the sensors is faulty. Switch the ignition on, select reverse gear, then go to the back of the car and lightly rub a finger back & forth over the face of each sensor. You should be able to feel them pulsing. The one that isn't is the one that is faulty.

I have attempted to do this install and am 90% there. The biggest issue is you need a Body Control Module (BCM) that contains the Parking Assist Module (PAM). On our trucks, the PAM is internal to the BCM. That being said, the challenge is programming up the new BCM as it contains the security of your keys (the PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System).
