🎾 Ford Fiesta Gear Selector Problems

Hi, I have a 58/59 Mk7 Fiesta Zetec. On occasions I'm getting a squeaky / creaky sound when I move the gear lever from 1st to 2nd, or 3rd to 4th or 3rd to 2nd - ie any downward movement. I'm pretty sure all it needs is a bit grease, lubricant or WD40 around the mechanics, but I need to remove the 3) Damaged Gears. There are lots of gears in a manual transmission system. But, linkage to lever external open up cover and get someone to move it.. see what it does. probaly moves all about.
